Eternabond rv roof tape review with my first use of eternabond tape now approaching the 3 year mark i thought it might be a good time to do a review.

Rv roof repair vent maintenance i first became acquainted with eternabond tape after i discovered that the side seams on the fiberglass roof of my new 1999 winnebago roof would need constant checking and re caulking to avoid the roof from popping out of the j channel. Sales people in rv parts departments across the country recommend these tapes for leaks everyday. Eternabond is the only microsealant in a tape form available that will stop virtually any leak or water proof any surface in minutes. Rolls of the tape are about 4 inches wide and come on rolls of several feet.

Total thickness is 35 mil. Wiped roof seam with rubbing alcohol then sprayed clean with eternabond ec 1 before applying a layer of eternabond tape to the suspected seam that was leaking. Eternabond tape or similar roof patch products found in the local rv store are extremely sticky. From the manufacturer to the tradesman to the homeowner more and more people are trusting eternabond for permanent repairs on non pressurized leaks.

I liked it better than the regular dicor lap sealant employed by the oem and almost all rv service centers. The uv stable backing on roofseal makes it ideal for use in sunny environments. Very easy to install thick and workable but also very sticky adhesive.
